Legal & Identity Theft Protection Services

Veteran Advantage Members and their families will have access to a nationwide network of plan attorneys and identity theft advocates that will provide them with free and discounted care.

Upon enrollment, you will be referred to a plan attorney based on location, area of law required, and language preference.  You may use as many plan attorneys, practicing any area of law, anywhere in the country as often as you like.  Should you become a victim of identity theft, or even suspect that your may be,  simply contact one of our identity theft paralegals who will then assist you with the restoration of your identity to its pre-theft state. 

Membership includes you, your spouse, domestic partner and any dependents 25 years of age or younger.

PLAN BENEFITS

Free & Discounted Legal Services

You and your family will have access to a nationwide network of over 20,000 plan attorneys that have contracted with Legal Club to provide free and discounted legal services.

Free Service for Personal and Family Related Matters Provided by Plan Attorney:

• Unlimited phone consultations for each new legal matter (no time limit).
• Unlimited face to face consultations for each new legal matter (no time limit).
• Review of independent legal documents (6 page maximum per document, no limit to the number of new independent documents).
• Prepare a free Simple Will for Members and their family, as well as update the Will annually for free.
• A state specific, web based, free Living Will form is provided to Members. This form can be taken to and completed by the plan attorney for free.
• Help Members represent themselves in small claims court.
• Assistance in solving problems with government programs.
• Write letters on the Member’s behalf (one letter per legal matter, with no limit on the number of new legal matters).
• Make phone calls on the Member’s behalf (one phone call per legal matter, with no limit on the number of new legal matters).

Deeply Discounted Services for Personal and
Family Related Matters:
These are eight (8) commonly used legal services for which plan attorneys have agreed to charge a one-time, deeply discounted fee.

Guaranteed Low Hourly Rates for Personal and
Family Related Matters:
Plan attorneys have contracted to never charge more than $75.00 per hour for personal and family legal care that goes beyond the free and discounted services. After the free letters, calls and consultations take place, you and your attorney will decide what course of action to take next. In many cases, you will have no choice and litigation may ensue. This is the point in time that plan attorneys charge the $75.00 hourly rate for personal and family legal care. That’s right - only $75.00 per hour! The American Bar Association estimates that the national average is upwards of $204.00 per hour for the services of an attorney. Legal Club represents a tremendous savings.

Contingency Fee Discounts for Personal and
Family Related Matters:
Attorneys often work on a contingency fee basis on cases such as personal injury and collections. This fee is usually expressed as a percentage of the amount collected or awarded. In some cases, fee maximums are set by state law. Member’s fees will be a 10% reduction of the state maximum rate or the attorney’s usual rate, whichever is lower.

Identity Theft Restoration & Insurance

You will have 24/7 access to Identity Theft Restoration Advocates who will provide you with comprehensive, personalized recovery services for theft of Member as an individual.

If you become a victim of personal identity theft, the plan administrator assigns a Recovery Advocate to manage the case and activates the Recovery Team (fraud investigators, legal counsel, and other experts) needed to help with the recovery process from beginning to end.

Recovery Team Benefits:

• Damage assessment
• Notifying the three major credit bureaus
• Placing fraud alerts
• Creating a customized Recovery Plan
• Assisting the Member with the restoration of their personal identity to its pre-theft state

Insurance Coverage:
You will also receive up to $25,000 worth of insurance coverage* provided by AISLIC (American International Specialty Lines Insurance Company, a member company of American International Group, Inc.). This coverage will help offset some of the cost of restoring your identity to its original status.

Lost or Stolen Credit Card Assistance:

• Determine the severity of the event and begin the notification process. This includes obtaining credit reports from each of the three major credit reporting bureaus
• Place fraud alerts with all three major credit bureaus
• Contact each credit card company while member is on the phone.
• Cancel the member’s affected credit cards
• Request new replacement cards
• Assist member with interpreting their credit reports
• Provide daily credit monitoring from all three bureaus for six months to help prevent any further fraud
